Meanwhile, Masher launches an aggressive assault on a major downtown facility, stealing vital components for his ominous endgame. Iron Man confronts Masher, but is outmatched and unable to thwart his plans. Masher taunts Iron Man with threats of both citywide domination and personal demise, escaping just as Iron Man attempts a desperate pursuit. Amidst these developments, Tony uncovers a disturbing truth: they have been erased from Stark Industries' systems by Justin Hammer, leading him to suspect that Hammer is the nefarious Masher. This suspicion is confirmed when Masher launches an attack on the Police Department, targeting its leader, Mark. In a daring rescue, Tony saves the entire police force, solidifying his status as a hero in their eyes. In a dramatic revelation, Masher's true identity as Justin Hammer is exposed.   | ShortSummary    = Upon investigating the source of the massive earthquake, Tony encounters Thor, an Asgardian hero, who urgently requests his aid to avert an impending war. After deliberating with Jenny, Tony agrees to assist Thor and departs for Asgard City, receiving well-wishes from Jenny and Noah. In Asgard, Tony and Thor strategize to subdue the cunning villain, Loki. Despite their efforts, they are unable to confine Loki within the secure confines of Thor's residence. This failure prompts Odin, Thor's father, to issue a stern directive to eliminate Loki. However, Tony stands firm on his moral principles, adamantly refusing to take a life, even in the face of such a grave threat. This decision highlights a conflict between Tony's unwavering ethical stance and the harsh demands of Asgardian justice, setting the stage for further tension and complexity in their mission against Loki.

Meanwhile, Jenny tries to persuade Tony to reconsider Noah's involvement in their mission, but Tony, grappling with trust issues, staunchly refuses. In his Iron Man persona, Tony approaches the Mayor with a bold plan to deploy an EMP, aiming to disable the replicated Iron Man suits wreaking havoc in the city. The Mayor grants approval for this drastic measure. However, Tony soon finds himself overwhelmed by the sheer power of the suits. In a surprising turn, he is rescued by Silverman (Noah), who expresses remorse for his earlier recklessness. Seizing the moment, Tony confronts Justin, successfully neutralizing and destroying his suit in a furnace. He then hands Justin over to the authorities, providing compelling evidence to implicate Mark Singh in the recent crimes. The team regroups at the Iron Base, celebrating their hard-fought victory. Embracing a new beginning, Tony announces his intention to establish Malibu Industries, moving beyond Stark Industries. This triumphant moment is interrupted by the arrival of Jack Smith, who urgently seeks their assistance against a formidable adversary known as "The Big Guy."

Discussions for the series began in 2014 with Freddie Goodwin approaching Kevin Feige with a idea for the series and begin development in 2015 to have the series release in a standalone universe in 2017. However, Feige didn't like the idea of the story. In 2019, Goodwin rewrote the season with a focus on action and comic-accuracy with adapting multiple storylines from multiple different comic stories. He again talked with Feige, who liked the new story stating it was a "massive improvement that is different from the MCU". Goodwin gained rights to release the series which was planned to be on The CW. In September 2020, Netflix had made a deal to have the series release on Netflix too.

Development
