ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare II is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by Air Studios and published by Mob Productions. It is the fifth installment of the ShooterofIO series and is the second main entry in the Dark Warfare sub-series, a direct sequel to ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare (2024). Dark Warfare II is scheduled for release in 2026, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

Leaks and development

Following the release of ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare (2024), the series’ long-term plans shifted when Mob Productions assumed full publishing control of the franchise, replacing Monsteristic, which had overseen publication of the original Dark Warfare title.

Leaks

On June 17, 2025, the leaker “Pine@pple Leaks” reported that the next premium ShooterofIO installment would include a substantial amount of content, while noting that it would not match the scale of the first game. He also claimed to have discovered references within internal files indicating an all-new cooperative version of Zombies, describing it as featuring the series’ “largest map ever” and incorporating “advanced systems.”

In July 2025, Pine@pple Leaks reported that the game would feature integration with ShooterofIO: Wargrounds 2.0 (2025), including the addition of a new large-scale map intended to support both a survival-focused PvE mode and a battle royale component. In October 2025, the leaker published a series of posts and screenshots claiming that files from the franchise’s first Dark Warfare installment were present in the game’s data. These assets were described as reused materials, leading to speculation that content from Dark Warfare could also appear in the title.

Release

Dark Warfare II is scheduled for release in 2026, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
