The iPhone Galaxy Three (marketed as iPhone Galaxy III) is a flagship smartphone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. as the third-generation model in the premium iPhone Galaxy series. It was announced on March 4, 2027, and released globally on March 13, 2027.

The Galaxy Three introduces major internal upgrades over its predecessor, including the Apple G3 chip with a neural multi-engine matrix, new LPDDR6 memory, and expanded 2 TB storage support. It retains the seamless, uninterrupted display pioneered by the series and improves both camera quality and real-time AI-assisted photography through Apple Intelligence Ultra. It runs iOS Galaxy 3.0, powered by Orb UI 3.

Upon release, the Galaxy Three was met with highly positive reception from both consumers and critics. Reviewers praised its blistering performance, dramatically improved AI responsiveness, and high-end video quality from the new periscope lens. The Verge called it "Apple's first phone to make real-time AI feel invisible and essential," while TechCrunch said the Galaxy Three "cements the Galaxy line as the creative class's iPhone of choice." Some criticism was aimed at its high base price of US$1,399 and the lack of 8K video recording, despite the upgraded ISP.

History[edit | edit source]

Following the success of iPhone Galaxy Two, Apple accelerated development of the third-generation model with a goal to integrate its most advanced memory and camera technologies yet. The device, codenamed Orion X, was first leaked via regulatory filings in early 2027.

The iPhone Galaxy Three was formally unveiled at Apple’s “Intelligence Unleashed” event on March 4, 2027, with pre-orders opening on March 7 and general availability starting March 13.

Design[edit | edit source]

The Galaxy Three refines the previous models’ aesthetic with slimmer bezels, a smoother matte glass back with ceramic nano-texture, and slightly flatter side edges. It is available in three finishes: Lunar Frost, Nebula Black, and Violet Edge.

The under-display camera and Face ID sensor array are now second-generation with increased transparency for clearer image capture and improved biometric security.

Specifications[edit | edit source]

Hardware[edit | edit source]

Powered by the new Apple G3 SoC, the Galaxy Three introduces LPDDR6 memory (16 GB standard) and 2 TB NVMe storage for the first time in an iPhone. It features Apple’s C3 Fusion modem with higher uplink speeds and reduced power draw. Battery life is slightly extended due to greater efficiency, despite a modest 4,780 mAh cell.

Display[edit | edit source]

The 6.5-inch GalaxyMotion Ultra OLED panel supports adaptive refresh up to 120Hz with 2,800 nits peak HDR brightness and DisplayPort 2.1 over USB-C. The display remains uninterrupted by notches or camera cutouts, thanks to Apple’s latest under-display sensor tech.

Cameras[edit | edit source]

  • Main (wide): 50 MP, ƒ/1.4 with quad-pixel binning and sensor-shift OIS
  • Ultra-wide: 13 MP, ƒ/1.8 with macro focus
  • Periscope telephoto: 12 MP, ƒ/2.2 with 6× optical and 30× digital zoom

New software features include:

  • LiveTone HDR: dynamic tone mapping during video
  • Portrait Cinemagraphs: AI-generated motion-based portraits
  • SkyReplace: contextual AI-based sky replacement in images

The under-display front camera (12 MP) now supports Smart HDR 6 and Portrait Lighting in low light.

Software[edit | edit source]

Shipped with iOS Galaxy 3.0, the Galaxy Three introduces:

  • Orb UI 3 – Live App Layers, fluid multitasking on-screen
  • Apple Intelligence Ultra – new on-device generative AI for creative workflows
  • LiveScript – transcription and summary tools for voice and video
  • MindFocus – a new neuroadaptive UI mode for focus enhancement

Battery and Charging[edit | edit source]

  • 4,780 mAh battery
  • USB-C PD fast charging up to 45W (0–50% in 22 minutes)
  • MagCore 3 wireless charging up to 25W
  • Reverse wireless charging (10W) for accessories

Connectivity[edit | edit source]

  • USB-C 4.0 (40 Gbit/s) with DisplayPort 2.1
  • UWB 3.0 chip for spatial tracking
  • Full 5G support (sub-6 and mmWave)
  • Dual eSIM or nano-SIM + eSIM configurations
