Nine months after Tony Stark's victory over Justin Hammer and Jack Smith's plea for assistance against “The Big Guy,” Tony has established strict boundaries about when he can be approached regarding his duties as Iron Man. Noah, now more experienced in his role as the superhero Silverman, continues to grow into his responsibilities. The Malibu City Police Department welcomes a new captain, Joe Medish, who takes a collaborative approach, aiming to support Iron Man in protecting the city rather than pursuing him as a vigilante. Meanwhile, Jenny and Jack share a heartfelt conversation where Jack reveals his struggle with memory loss, and Jenny vows to help him uncover the truth. In the streets of Malibu, Tony and Noah team up to thwart a robbery at South Bank. At Malibu Industries, Tony reassures the city of his commitment to its safety, unveiling plans to enhance Iron Man’s capabilities through cutting-edge technology and tools. However, outside Malibu City, a secretive gang plots against him, led by the enigmatic and dangerous Mandarin, whose ultimate mission is Iron Man's destruction.

Development[edit | edit source]

Discussions for the series began in 2014 with Freddie Goodwin approaching Kevin Feige with a idea for the series and begin development in 2015 to have the series release in a standalone universe in 2017. However, Feige didn't like the idea of the story. In 2019, Goodwin rewrote the season with a focus on action and comic-accuracy with adapting multiple storylines from multiple different comic stories. He again talked with Feige, who liked the new story stating it was a "massive improvement that is different from the MCU". Goodwin gained rights to release the series which was planned to be on The CW. In September 2020, Netflix had made a deal to have the series release on Netflix too.
