| On the mountain, Warmaster Babari surveys the battlefield with Ursus and Sorcerice as waves of Barbarians press their assault, more organized and ruthless than ever, seemingly intent on claiming the highlands as their own. Sorcerice recalls the ancient petroglyphs carved into the mountain’s walls, which foretold of such an invasion and spoke of the Northberries as the means to defeat it. Babari reminds her that, though she once harvested a single berry decades ago, no monster has been able to handle their frigid energy since, and insists she must now find a solution. After repelling another wave, Babari confides to Ursus that the petroglyphs predict the invasion’s peak will come with the arrival of Khalorc Rageskin. At that moment, Drakkarhed rushes in with news: Sorcerice has succeeded, creating frost shields over her hands to harvest a supply of Northberries, which she has begun distributing among the Summitfolk. Seeing hope, Babari and Drakkarhed decide to carry a portion of the berries to Mjolnir at the Fiery Pits, while Ursus holds the mountain line against the Barbarians. Mjolnir studies the resource and admits he can refine their use, but warns it will not be enough to change the outcome of the war—the Summitfolk must summon their ancestor, Tyr Stormbringer. To do so, Babari and Drakkarhed storm the throne of the Righteous Court, where King Daeron II bristles at their demand to reclaim Tyr’s Banner, an heirloom gifted in gratitude generations ago. The two sides recall their history: once close allies during Daeron’s father’s reign, the Summitfolk rejected an offer of union, retreating to the mountains to live free after Tyr’s disappearance, and have lacked a true leader since. After defeating the royals in battle, Babari and Drakkarhed return with the banner and perform the ancient ritual, successfully summoning their long-lost ancestor, Tyr Stormbringer. | |||||

| Tyr Stormbringer gazes upon Warmaster Babari and Drakkarhed, recognizing at once that his summoning signals the arrival of the long-foretold invasion of the mountain. Soon joined by Ursus and Sorcerice, Babari explains that the Summitfolk had little choice but to call on him, as their people were too fiercely independent to form alliances beyond occasional trade with the Adventurers’ Guild. Tyr reflects bitterly that the Summitfolk’s ancestors had once been Adventurers themselves, but their breakaway under his leadership had left lingering resentment between the two groups. Accepting that they must still try, they set out to petition the Adventurers’ Guild for aid. Passing close to Monstelvania along the way, Ursus’ open unease at the dark faction provokes Lord Hayman, who confronts them and drags them into a skirmish. By the time they reach the Adventurers’ Village, tensions are already high, and when Ursus inadvertently bites into Max Shroom, chaos erupts. Tyr Stormbringer himself attempts to de-escalate, appealing to both reason and empathy, but the Adventurers spurn his words, unwilling to forgive the old divide. As another fight breaks out, Tyr finally abandons the effort, despairing that the Guild cannot be swayed and lamenting how his choices long ago had left the Summitfolk so isolated and vulnerable at their time of greatest need. | |||||

| Flashes of lightning across the battlefield lead Chieftain Alarorc and Warspellz to conclude that the Summitfolk have called upon Tyr Stormbringer. Warspellz and Weirdika urge that the Barbarians summon their own ancestor in response, but Alarorc rejects the idea outright. Suspecting he only seeks to cling to his rule, Weirdika confides in Ogeronk and Lyza, and together they secretly travel to the Rocky Peaks to seek the relic required to awaken Khalorc Rageskin. There, Rock Archdruid contemptuously informs them that the Barbarian Armor was surrendered decades ago to the Magic Council because of the dark magic it leaked. Enraged, Weirdika loots the Peaks in retaliation before pressing on to the Council’s HQ, only to find its halls eerily deserted. Warmaster Sherezar greets them and reveals that the Armor had proved so dangerous it was eventually handed over to Nishant the Great for safekeeping in his collection. Determined, the trio break into Nishant’s Museum of Dead Things, battling through Shadowyna before confronting Nishant himself. In the end, they strike a bargain: in exchange for the Barbarian Armor, they will deliver him a prized artifact from the Summitfolk’s treasuries once their conquest is complete. | |||||

| Weirdika successfully summons Khalorc Rageskin, who immediately shows disdain for the orc tribe’s struggles against Tyr Stormbringer and declares Chieftain Alarorc unfit to lead. He orders Weirdika and Mosklin to raid the Summitfolk village and recover a relic to repay Nishant the Great, while he himself goes to claim Alarorc’s position. The pair return with a crate full of stolen Northberries, which are distributed among the orcs to bolster their strength. Khalorc personally delivers a new relic to Nishant the Great, boasting that unlike Alarorc he has no intention of settling down in the Summitfolk village and will ensure no survivors remain to merge with the Barbarians. Intrigued by the Summitfolk’s past, Nishant questions him further, prompting Khalorc to suspect that the Adventurers’ Guild might ally with them and attempt to summon their own ancestor. Determined to prevent this, Khalorc sets out with Goblarzd to intimidate the Guild. Outside their village, they encounter Gregorz of Lyria, Max Shroom, and Slothunder, warning them to flee while the Barbarians ravage the Summitfolk. When they refuse, Khalorc and Goblarzd brutally beat the trio, nearly killing them. After Khalorc departs, Slothunder convinces Gregorz that aiding the Summitfolk is the right thing to do, uniting against their shared enemy. | |||||

| Gregorz of Lyria and Slothunder summon Baba Basheer back from his travels, and Gregorz confides his doubts about allying with the Summitfolk, worrying it dishonors his grandfather Gravorz given the rift between their factions. Baba reassures him, explaining that Gravorz and Tyr Stormbringer had in fact been close adventuring companions alongside him for many years. Encouraged and impressed by Gregorz’s maturity in pursuing peace for the good of the Village, Baba gifts him Gravorz’s token, transforming him into Guildmaster Gregorz. With renewed purpose, Gregorz and his allies climb the mountain to meet Tyr Stormbringer, and the Adventurers’ Guild and Summitfolk agree to set aside their feud for the sake of survival. Later, during a lull in the battle, Slothunder—hastened by his speed—finds Tyr and Baba together and tells them that the prophecy foretold Khalorc Rageskin’s downfall would come at the hands of one of his own advisors, and his research has revealed a likely betrayer among them. | |||||

| Tyr Stormbringer and Baba Basheer secretly confront Goblarzd after intercepting his diary, which reveals both his resentment at Khalorc Rageskin’s refusal to share the stolen Northberries and his unease with the idea of settling the Barbarians in one place. Offering him a portion of Northberries in return for sabotaging the invasion, they tell him to contact them within two days. Later, Nishant the Great interrupts a strategy meeting between Tyr, Baba, and Guildmaster Gregorz, offering to ally if given Guild artifacts; Baba denounces him for aiding the Barbarians, prompting Nishant to switch to threats of siding with them again before being driven out. Meanwhile, Goblarzd openly tells Khalorc and Weirdika about his recruitment as a supposed double agent, offering to distract the Adventurers, and then hears news that the orcs have discovered a Summitfolk tunnel leading into their armory. Meeting Tyr, Baba, and Gregorz again after sending them on a false mission to Souls’ Lair, Goblarzd admits it was a ruse to preserve his cover, and warns of the midnight armory raid. He then shows them an orc tunnel into the Barbarian camp, hoping it will be enough to save them all. Through the tunnel, the trio confront Khalorc and Weirdika in private, attempting to negotiate. Khalorc declares that he now intends to settle on the summit for its cow herds and vantage point, dismissing comparisons to the other factions and claiming orc superiority. Offended at his scorn, Weirdika abandons him. Cornered and alone, Khalorc threatens to smash a crate of Northberries to destroy the entire summit, forcing them into battle to stop him. In the aftermath, the Adventurers’ Guild and Summitfolk negotiate peace with the Barbarians, represented by Chieftain Alarorc: the siege will end and the Barbarians will depart, in exchange for a limited annual supply of Northberries and the right for any Barbarians who wish to resettle in the Village of Adventurers. Finally, Tyr Stormbringer formally appoints Warmaster Babari as leader of the Summitfolk, transforming him into Glacial Babari. | |||||
