The Zerra Halo 15 Pro and Halo 15 Pro Max are flagship smartphones developed and marketed by Zerra Technologies as part of the Zerra Halo line’s fifteenth generation. Announced on October 10, 2024, alongside the standard Zerra Halo 15, the Pro models feature upgraded displays, camera systems, and performance powered by the Z-Core Fusion Pro chipset.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

The Pro and Pro Max were marketed as devices for professional and creative users, introducing features such as a periscope telephoto lens and expanded memory/storage configurations. Pre-orders opened October 12, 2024, with shipping beginning October 22.

Design[edit | edit source]

The Pro series adopts flat-edged frames made of reinforced aluminum with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 panels. The Pro Max is physically larger, with a 6.9-inch display compared to the 6.7-inch Pro. Both models offer IP68 resistance and color finishes in Obsidian Black, Aurora Silver, Crimson Edge, and Deep Sapphire.

Specifications[edit | edit source]

Hardware[edit | edit source]

Powered by the Z-Core Fusion Pro SoC, the Pro models include a faster GPU and expanded AI processing compared to the standard Halo 15. Both feature 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, with storage up to 2 TB. The Pro Max includes a larger 5,200 mAh battery, while the Pro houses 4,800 mAh.

Display[edit | edit source]

Both the Pro and Pro Max use Eclipse HDR OLED displays with resolutions of 3080×1440, adaptive 120 Hz ProMotion refresh, and peak HDR brightness of 2,300 nits. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support were added for the first time in the Halo line.

Cameras[edit | edit source]

The Pro series introduced Zerra’s first periscope telephoto camera: a 48 MP lens with 5× optical zoom and up to 30× digital. The triple-lens system also includes a 50 MP wide and 48 MP ultrawide. AI-driven computational photography is powered by the Fusion Pro NPU, improving NightVision, Portrait HDR, and long-range zoom shots.

Software[edit | edit source]

The Halo 15 Pro shipped with ZerraOS 14 and later received ZerraOS 15. Exclusive features at launch included **App View** desktop multitasking when docked, and Pro Camera Studio mode with RAW+ and AI-enhanced stabilization.

Reception[edit | edit source]

The Halo 15 Pro and Pro Max were well-received, with praise for their camera advancements, build quality, and Fusion Pro performance. Reviewers compared the periscope lens favorably against competing flagship devices, noting sharp detail at 5× optical zoom. The display quality and long-term software support also drew positive remarks. Criticism focused on the high launch prices and the Pro Max’s heavier weight. Nonetheless, the Pro line was credited with giving Zerra parity with, or advantage over, rival flagship ecosystems.[2]
